A.H. 345) Historical Encyclopaedia [<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Meadows_of_Gold">مُرُوج ٱلذَّهَب وَمَعَادِن ٱلْجَوْهَر</a>‎]</p> <p>It begins with the heading</p> <p>ذكر جوامع من الاخبار ٬ووصف الارض و البلدان و حنين النفوس الى الاوطان</p> <p>and the first words of the text are : ذكر ذوو الرواية ان عمر بن الخطاب رضه (= vol. iii. p. 123 of the edition of <a href="https://archive.org/details/lesprairiesdor01masduoft/">Barbier de Meynard and Pavet de Courteille</a> [Paris, 1861]).</p> <p>It concludes with the reign of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As-Saffah">Abu’l-‘Abbâs al-Saffâḥ</a>, as follows: ولابى العباس اخبار حسان اتينا عليها فى كتابنا اخبار الزمان (cf. vol. vi. p. 156 of the Paris edition).</p> <p>Well written; the titles very large and often in red.</p> <p>Dated Wednesday, the last of Ṣafar, 824 [= February 1421 CE].<sup>1</sup></p> <p>The beginning is injured by damp.
