Cap.: 144. 1800.</p><p><b>Typus: SOUTH AFRICA:</b> Cape, <i>Thunberg s.n.</i> (holo-: UPS-THUNB n° 18960 image seen).</p><p><i>Notes</i>. – A specimen in the Cape herbarium is in G-PREL [G00818027]. It belongs to <i>Athanasia tomentosa</i> but is probably not a duplicate of the Thunberg collection at UPS-THUNB.</p>
