•
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the delivery of education was fundamentally altered across all disciples. My project, in particular, focuses on how nursing students experienced the pandemic and how it affected their education and training. As the goal of my research was to collect a holistic story regarding my subject’s pandemic experience, I selected oral history as my methodology. The oral history interviews I collected allowed me to delve deeper into my interviewees' emotions and experiences by granting them the opportunity to speak candidly and at length about their own personal experiences. In collecting data for my study, I interviewed three students who attended college during the pandemic. Each interview includes a discussion of my interviewee’s early life, motivations, college years pre-pandemic, and college experience during the pandemic. These oral histories are transcribed and have been submitted to the Lawrence De Graaf Center for Oral and Public History’s collection here at CSUF, where they will be available for all to hear.
