Transvaal Mus., 22:279-303, proposed the name <i>Chlorotalpa (Kilimitalpa)</i> for this species. Simonetta, 1968, Monitore Zool. Ital., n.s., 2(suppl.):31, regarded it as a synonym of <i>Carpitalpa.</i> He placed <i>arendsi, stuhlmanni</i> and <i>fosteri</i> in <i>Carpitalpa</i> and <i>tropicalis</i> in <i>Chlorotalpa.</i></p><p>ISIS NUMBER: 5301403004002004001 as C. <i>stuhlmanni.</i></p><p>5301403004002003001 as C. <i>fosteri.</i></p><p>5301403004002005001 as C. <i>vermiculus.</i></p><p>5301403004001006001 as <i>Amblysomus tropicalis.</i></p>
