- <p><b><i>Omorgus</i> (<i>Omorgus</i>) <i>maissouri</i> (Haaf, 1954a)</b></p><p>(Figs. 28–31)</p><p><i>Trox inclusus</i> ssp. <i>maissouri</i> Haaf, 1954a: 384 (original description).</p><p><i>Omorgus inclusus</i> ssp. <i>maissouri</i>: Zidek (2013): 12 (checklist).</p><p><i>Omorgus</i> (<i>Afromorgus</i>) <i>inclusus maissouri</i>: Zidek (2017): 103 (checklist).</p><p><i>Afromorgus maissouri</i>: Pittino (2006): 27 (new combination).</p><p><b>Type locality:</b> “ Maïssour [= Mysuru], Shimoga [= Shivamogga District, India]”.</p><p><b>Type depository.</b> Holotype (male) at MNHN; paratypes could not be traced.</p><p><b>Distribution:</b> India (Karnataka, Odisha), Myanmar (formerly Burma) (Haaf 1954a; Schoolmeesters 2022).</p><p><b>Comments:</b> <i>Omorgus</i> (<i>A.</i>) <i>maissouri</i> (Haaf, 1954a) was previously classified in the subgenus <i>Afromorgus</i>. We recently examined its holotype and found that it belongs to the nominotypical subgenus <i>Omorgus</i>. The male of <i>O.</i> (<i>O.</i>) <i>maissouri</i>, have the phallobasis clearly divided and membranous dorsally which correspond with the diagnostic features of nominotypical subgenus (<i>sensu</i> Scholtz 1986b) and is here by reassigned to the subgenus <i>Omorgus</i>.</p>
