•
There is no doubt that information and communicationee technology is of great importance for the efficiency and effectiveness of big business. However, the importance of such technologies for small and medium-sized enterprises has not been researched both in industrialized and developing countries. The author's goal was to fill in this research gap with this book, by studying the implications of the information and communication technology (ICT) on small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and Jordan, exemplifying the situation in an industrial and a developing country, respectively. The empirical analysis is based on an extensive data collection from small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and Jordan, and was tested through structural equation modeling. This book brings interesting findings for research in industrial countries such as Germany and, especially in developing countries such as Jordan.

Prof. Dr. Michael Dowling

Professor of Innovation and Technology Management
