- <p><b>Genus <i>Phlaurocentrum</i> Karsch, 1889</b></p><p>The genus has been revised by Ragge (1962); later Massa (2013) described three further species and presently nine species are known; while all the species have been exhaustively described, only a very shortly description was provided for <i>P. turbatum</i> (Walker, 1869), its holotype being badly preserved and impossible to separate from other species. For this reason, Ragge (1964) proposed that it be considered as a <i>nomen dubium</i>, suspecting that some species subsequently described could be synonymous. Thus, in the present paper this species is not considered.</p><p>Table 1 lists all the known species of the genus <i>Phlaurocentrum</i> plus another two previously undescribed, one from the Republic of Congo and another from Côte d’Ivoire. <i>P. morettoi</i> Massa, 2013 is here considered synonymous with <i>P. lobatum</i> Ragge, 1962.</p>
