Based on a descriptive quantitative study the opinions of students and teachers of integral calculus, at the Progreso campus of the Tecnológico Nacional de México, are analyzed in four specific areas, regarding the subject of integral calculus and its approach from a perspective of gender. The results show the differences in the perception of the participants regarding the training that engineers receive on issues related to gender, equity and equality and opens the way to a discussion about the actions carried out by higher education institutions to promote knowledge and development of these skills.

Keywords: Gender perspective, equity, equality, integral calculus, engineering training.
