contents This study investigates the application of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) as a diagnostic tool for myasthenia gravis, a severe neuromuscular disorder characterized by muscle weakness and fatigue. Blood serum samples were analyzed using SERS substrates embedded with 5 nm gold nanoparticles, resulting in significant Raman signal enhancement and the detection of disease-specific spectral features. The study demonstrates the potential of SERS to identify subtle biochemical changes associated with oxidative stress and altered molecular composition in serum, providing a sensitive and non-invasive approach for diagnosis.
