contents These proceedings provide a brief overview of the status of $B$ meson physics, putting particular emphasis on precision tests of the Standard Model with meson mixing data, and on the anomalies in charged- and neutral-current semileptonic $B$ decays. In addition to summarising the current status, some promising directions to be pursued at future collider experiments are highlighted.
