A shock tube test facility with a specially designed spherically converging test section was used in the present study. Two test cases, a shock of initial strength Mach 2 and Mach 4, were investigated. An in-house 10 developed K -type thermocouple was used in the present investigations, and the measured heat transfer rates were of the order of KW/cm2. |
