| contents | We report a new configuration and theoretical approach for the study of the incoherent and coherent combination of Gaussian laser beams which allows us to calculate the combined intensity at every point in space, this new approach consists of directing all the lasers towards a chosen point, which is the meeting point of all the combined lasers, this method makes it possible to obtain in the case of an incoherent combination an intensity of Gaussian shape without the existence of secondary intensity lobes at the focusing plan, and in the case of a coherent combination, we observe a spatial thinning of the combined beams with a greater intensity, which depends on the numerical aperture of the system. |
