contents This study explores the feasibility of using scintillation detectors for muon calorimetry through experiments conducted at CERN's T10 beamline. Results from organic scintillators with varying thicknesses and readout methods, as well as a lead-glass calorimeter, showed minimal correlation between muon energy and the peak or spread of the detected signal amplitudes. These findings highlight the influence of temperature on SiPMs and indicate a significant amount of contamination in the muon beam.
