contents I review the results of a recent global fit to electroweak precision data. Particular attention is devoted to the landscape of determinations of the weak mixing angle, recent results on basic properties of the electroweak gauge bosons, and the implications of vacuum polarization on the scale dependences of the electromagnetic coupling and the weak mixing angle, as well as the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon.
