contents We investigate the ground state configuration and spin dynamics of a quantum spin spiral dimer when a magnetic field is applied to one of its constituent spins. By adiabatic changing the magnetic field, it is possible to change the non-magnetic ground state to a classical spiral state, which oscillates periodically to its inverted classical spiral state configuration. This oscillation can be halted at any time, leading to the possibility of manipulating the quantum state and the magnetic configuration of the spin dimer. Notably, this idea is not limited to spin dimers and can also be extended to quantum spin chains with an even number of spins.
