contents For next-generation wireless networks, both the upper mid-band and terahertz spectra are gaining global attention. This article provides an in-depth analysis of recent regulatory rulings and spectrum preferences issued by international standard bodies. We highlight promising frequency bands earmarked for 6G and beyond, and offer examples that illuminate the passive service protections and spectrum feasibility for coexistence between terrestrial and non-terrestrial wireless networks.
