contents The study of integrating photonic devices into astronomical instruments is the primary focus of astrophotonics. The growth in this area of study is relatively recent. Research related to astronomical spectroscopic phenomena has received a lot of attention in recent times. There are several important advantages to integrating photonics technology into an astronomical instrument, such as cost savings because of increased reproducibility, thermal and mechanical stability, and miniaturization. This paper provides a brief review of recent advances in astrophotonics.
