contents We study the impact of pre-equilibrium evolution on the charm quark $R_{AA}$ and $v_2$ in Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. We observe that there is significant diffusion in the pre-equilibrium evolution, but there is no measurable effect on the final state observables.
