Administrative Policy Agencies Books Conference Reports International Programs Library Services Organizations (Groups) After transferring most of its activities to Washington, D.C., the International Relations Office of the American Library Association held a conference to determine the current activities of the organizations and agencies concerned with international library affairs. Included in these proceedings are reports or summaries of reports on the programs and policies of 31 organizations, given by representatives attending the conference. These organizations and agencies are affiliated with the federal government, the UN, library associations, private foundations and universities. Appended is the "National Policy Statement on International Book and Library Activities," issued by the Department of State on January 12, 1967, and a "Directive to Government Agencies for Implementation of the National Policy Statement of International Book and Library Activities."
