The standards presented here have been prepared by a joint Committee of the American Association of School Librarians and the Department of Audiovisual Instruction of the National Education Association in cooperation with an Advisory Board consisting of representatives from thirty professional and civic associations. Standards are given for personnel, and quantitative standards are given for the materials collection and equipment of a media center. (TI)
