Major provisions are given for the 26 laws which cover these areas: maternal and child health and mental retardation; hospital and medical facilities; social security; elementary and secondary education; the National Technical Institute for the Deaf; community health service; heart disease, cancer, and stroke; Captioned Films for the Deaf; federal assistance to state schools for the handicapped; vocational rehabilitation; library services; military medical benefits; comprehensive health planning; and mental health. A legislative history of the bills is included in tabular form. (LE) |
