The chronological period emphasized is post-1940 with slight attention to historical antecedents. Subjects emphasis is largely sociological. The guide is arranged primarily by type of publications (books, periodicals, government publications, etc.). A topical approach to materials cited is provided by a subject index following the citations. The purpose of the guide is to provide access to materials which may serve as a catalyst toward further discussion of ethnic minority problems.
