Cummiskey, J. Kenneth Community Cooperation Community Resources Community Services School Community Relationship Two Year Colleges Community colleges should be prepared to share an increasing responsibility with local leaders in providing services to their communities. Such an attitude would help to elicit acceptance and support from the people in the district for the college and, in turn, more of the college's resources would be available to help in the solving of community problems. College-community liaison and mobilization of college and community resources would also encourage the sharing of library facilities, college auditorium and classroom space, as well as various community facilities. A community services center could provide information on resources and services that are available in the community and exchanges of college staff and community leaders could be arranged. (RC)
