Decentralization Institutional Cooperation Interlibrary Loans Library Cooperation Library Networks Library Services Medical Libraries In an attempt to break down interinstitutional isolation, a group of biomedical librarians developed an interlibrary loan agreement with the specific goal of promoting better access to biomedical information for health care workers in the Metropolitan Detroit area. This is a report on the development of that agreement, which includes the eight-part agreement of the "Interlibrary Loan Agreement Among Biomedical Libraries of Metropolitan Detroit." This agreement records on paper what has developed through years of cooperation and provides a mechanism for group action. (MF)
