contents An Illustrated Guide to the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules. Sayre, John L., Comp. Hamburger, Roberta, Comp. Cataloging Illustrations Information Processing Information Retrieval Library Guides Library Science Library Technical Processes Religious Libraries A large number of Library of Congress cards are used to illustrate most of the "Anglo-American Cataloging Rules" (AACR). The rules are arranged in the same order as found in the AACR and are stated briefly along with one or more Library of Congress cards which illustrate that rule. Some rules are not illustrated because it is unlikely that a theological library would ever acquire a book that would require the application of that particular rule. Although prepared for use in a theological library, the compilation could also be useful for libraries which are training new staff members, or for library science education courses. (MM)
