Expenditures Higher Education Librarians Libraries Library Surveys Salaries This report presents information on academic libraries of selected institutions of higher education. The institutions are grouped by region: Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, and West and Southwest, and listed by type of control: (1) public and private universities; (2) public and private 4-year institutions with graduate programs; (3) public and private 4-year institutions without graduate programs; and (4) public and private 2-year institutions. For each of the selected institutions data is presented on (1) total enrollment, number of units in collection, and units per FTE students, 1966-67; (2) library operating expenditures, expenditure per FTE student, and expenditure as percentage of educational expenditure, 1966-67; (3) library staff, hourly assistance, and beginning salary of library school graduate, fall 1967; and (4) number and average salary of full-time staff, fall 1967.
