This bibliography is a record of the instructional materials in the Reader Development Program of The Free Library of Philadelphia. The Program makes available materials, written on or below the 8th grade reading level, to instructors, tutors, reading specialists, social workers, and others working with the under-educated, as well as the individual himself. The collection is divided into the following seven major reading interest categories: (1) leisure reading; (2) the community; (3) family life; (4) jobs; (5) reading, writing, arithmetic; (6) science and (7) the world and its people.
