Conference Reports Foreign Countries Librarians Library Education Library Science Professional Continuing Education To provide an opportunity for discussion of the educational needs of library personnel in the prairie provinces, a Workshop on Library Education was held in Edmonton on March 14, 1970. Approximately two hundred registrants representing all three prairie provinces participated. The papers presented are: (1) Issues, Decisions and Continuing Debate: The History of American Library Education 1870-1970, (2) Research and Library Education, (3) Pre-Service Education: Content and Methodology, and (4) Continuing Education for Librarians.
