Jordan, Alma Rovira, Carmen International Organizations International Programs Library Acquisition Library Associations Library Materials Seminars The Seminars on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM) which started in 1956 with the meeting of a representative group of librarians and bookmen invited by the University of Florida and the Pan American Union, "to consider the problems involved in finding, buying, and controlling library materials related to Latin America," became incorporated as a membership association of an educational character in January 1968. Documentation for the Thirteenth Seminar consisted of eight working papers, including the annual report by the Secretary on progress, the analysis of significant new acquisitions, and the report on bibliographic activities in and on materials from and about Latin America. These papers are included in volume II. This volume includes summary reports of the seven sessions, the program and resolutions of the seminar, the participants in the seminar, and the seminar committees, 1968-1969.
