Information obtained from other sources is also reported; statistical data and observational data are compared; and recommendations are made. In addition, reported "non-residential blight areas" are shown on maps of the 10 largest cities; housing conditions are compared to state standards; library, health, mental health, and educational facilities are described; water supply, solid-waste disposal methods, and sewage disposal methods are examined and found inadequate in some areas; fire protection and electric and gas service needs are examined; and use of governmental buildings is studied. The appendix details the existing administrative framework for agencies responsible for community facilities and services. Included are 54 tables, 11 figures, and a 94-item bibliography.
