The report is intended mainly for those with experience of automation, and so a brief non-technical account of the work of the Counter staff is included. The report describes the six transactions for which the machine is programmed, what data must be fed in for each, and how this is done, and what printouts the computer will produce. The appendices contain: (1) system flowchart, (2) program profiles, (3) program specifications, (4) validation schedule, (5) collectadata and photograph, (6) computer file specifications, (7) clerical reference files, (8) comparative costing and (9) references.
