Benton, Mildred Annotated Bibliographies Information Centers Information Scientists Librarians Libraries Literature Reviews Personnel Evaluation Professional Personnel A literature search for information concerning standards for library and information center personnel resulted in this annotated bibliography. The twofold purpose of the study was: (1) to identify the staffing and organization problems of the library and information science professions and their methods of solving them and (2) to record pertinent material with annotations and abstracts suitable for use in development staffing guides for Department of the Army libraries and information facilities. Most of the titles listed have been published since 1963. A few earlier titles are included as background reading or for their historical interest. The bibliography is arranged alphabetically by author. The few publications not available for examination are marked. They are included because of their apparent importance as indicated by their titles. An index, arranged by subject content as well as by types of libraries and information facilities, is included.
