College Libraries Directories Libraries Library Cooperation Library Services Public Libraries Reference Services Special Libraries Statistical Data Tables (Data) Most of the statistics reported in this Service Record were supplied by the U.S. Office of Education (USOE), National Center for Educational Statistics. USOE compiled the statistics from the information available in the library section of its 1971 Higher Education General Information Survey. The statistics reported are for the 1970/71 school year. The Academic Library Directory reflects the changes brought about as the result of the 1971 merger of university and state university systems in Wisconsin. All institutions have been entered under their appropriate new name. This publication contains a directory (by county) of academic, public and special libraries; statistics on academic libraries; a directory of academic libraries; and a directory and statistics of special libraries.
