Adult Education Annotated Bibliographies College Libraries Library Materials Library Planning Resource Materials School Libraries Sciences Textbook Selection Textbooks The 2,441 titles in this guide for library acquisition of science and mathematics textbooks are arranged according to Dewey classification numbers. The titles selected are intended for secondary school students, college undergraduates, and non-specialist adult readers. The titles included are those that were listed in the second edition of the guide that are still in print, and which are still considered relevant, together with selections from the "highly recommended" and "recommended" books from the April 1965-May 1970 issues of "Science Books: A Quarterly Review." Each entry includes full bibliographic citations, including the availability of paperbound editions, prices, an indication of the educational level for which it is appropriate (junior high school, senior high school, or college), and a short descriptive and evaluative annotation.
