The Center implemented MEDLARS Demand Search service in December 1967. During its years of operation, the Michigan MEDLARS Center formulated and released 4,823 Demand Searches. The searches originated from: the University of Michigan, 60%; other universities and colleges in the state, 24%; other state institutions, 14%; and out of state requests, 2%. The salient features of the entire contract period July 1967-April 1972 are presented in the appended tables. MEDLARS users may still request computer-produced searches. These are currently formulated on MEDLINE at the Reference and Interlibrary Loan Section of the University of Michigan Medical Center Library. (Author/NH) |
