  • Indiana Library Service; Five-Year Program for Expenditure of LSCA Funds. Evaluation Library Planning Library Services Objectives State Libraries State Programs Statewide Planning Findings contained in the "Indiana Library Studies," (Available as: ED 044131-044145 and ED 046472-046474), have been used as background material for development of the Library Services and Construction Act Five-Year Program. Three major development areas are called for: (1) strengthening the Indiana State Library; (2) designation of resource centers within the state; (3) establishment of no more than fourteen and no less than eight Area Library Services Authorities (two Areas may join to form one ALSA), whose membership includes all types of libraries. The Area Library Services Authorities follow the pattern established by Executive Order designated fourteen socioeconomic regions in Indiana.
