Introductory sections describe the registry and explain how to use it. The project descriptions which comprise the book are arranged by subject under the broad categories of operations, materials, users, librarians and information scientists, and organizations. Each entry includes a number, the name of the primary investigator or institution, the title of the project, the name of the parent institution, the funding source, dates, and a description of the project which includes its objectives, methodology, and progress. Indexes are supplied to investigators, organizations, geographic location, funding source, project title, and subject and keyword. (SH)
