Workshop participants discussed the following: LTA programs in regard to recruitment, attrition, faculty, curriculum, salaries and placement; the need to define LTAs in terms of analysis of tasks, routines and problem solving responsibilities; the processes to be followed in establishing new programs and a program director's responsibilities; problems of recruitment; and a five point plan for placement.
