To deal with this problem, the Department of Postgraduate Education of the University of Wisconsin has experimented with three methods of making current pertinent and authoritative information readily available to health care personnel. A dial-access telephone library contains several hundred tapes with information which is relevant to emergencies, to new discoveries, or which is hard to find elsewhere. Single concept medical films are offered to hospitals throughout the state, for viewing by staff. Finally, telephone/radio conferences bring lectures and discussions to participating hospitals. All three methods have been widely utilized by professionals in Wisconsin. (PB)
