Entries are listed alphabetically by the person or group making the oral history recordings. Each entry includes the subject's full name and vocation, brief notes on the content of the oral recording, and an indication of the accessibility of the recording and transcript. Many of the recordings are memoirs elicited through interviews, but the collection also includes self-generated remembrnces, speeches, and shorter statements grouped together by subject, such as the Popular Arts Project recordings from such figures as Edward Albee, Richard Barthelmess, Cecil B. de Mille, Jose Ferrer, and Celeste Holm. A total of 2,697 persons are represented in this catalog. (CH)
