Annotated Bibliographies Environment Environmental Education Library Collections Library Material Selection Periodicals Public Libraries Serials With over 250 environment-related periodicals available to libraries in 1973, it seems imperative to provide a selective guide which will assist the small or medium-sized library in developing a reasonable cross-section of the great variety of periodicals in the field. The following list of seventy publications has been selected with such an objective. Although the list is necessarily subjective, the compiler has tried to provide sound information upon which the librarian may make a satisfactory selection. Included in the listing are national and international periodicals, in English, which contain a strong environmental emphasis. Regional publications have been excluded although many regions of the United States have excellent publications dealing with local environmental conditions. Newsletters, bulletins and other fugitive materials are excluded, as are periodicals published by agencies of federal or state governments.
