It contains objectives and goals, as well as activities relating to goals, for all functions of the Inglewook Public Library. Unique is a concept of common goals and activities which apply to three or more divisions within the library. In compiling general goals and activities, the following list of uniform headings was developed: budget; community relations; cooperation; latest developments; materials; materials circulation, maintenance, and processing; personnel; policies and procedures; records and files; reference and information; services; supplies, equipment and maintenance; and volunteers. In addition to city ordinances relating to the Library Department, Library Board, and Friends of the Library, the following Library divisions are included: extension, circulation, circulation control (registration and overdues), reference, information, serial publications and documents, children's, young adult, audiovisual, social services, and technical processes.
