There are chapters on the emergence of the LRC: the library as LRC; LRC administration; resource centers in elementary schools, secondary schools, and colleges and universities; technical processes; individualized study; regional resource centers; special materials and facilities; the systems approach and behavioral objectives; and instructional development. There are bibliographies at the end of each section, and at the end of the document a glossary, a list of associations related to learning resources, and a list of addresses of some basic information sources.
