Information was gathered from relevant documents, interviews with the director and staff, and community surveys. Conclusions were drawn about the state of the library and 13 major recommendations for its improvement were made. Among these were: a moratorium on major remodeling changes, streamlining of various technical tasks, installation of closed circuit television, a new emphasis on balanced collection development, and the establishment or reestablishment of several staff positions. Statistical data supporting the recommendations are included in this report. (PF) |
