Papers by William Welsh and John Rather of the Library of Congress were prepared in advance of the meeting and distributed to a group of panelists whose reactions were followed by discussions from the floor. Concerns and possible resolutions were discussed from the viewpoints of the Library of Congress and of large research libraries. This volume provides a transcript of the meeting. (Author/SL) |
