The primary purpose of this annotated bibliography is to offer guidance to librarians in achieving reasonably adequate coverage of the geographic literature in undergraduate colleges in the United States, as well as to aid instructors and researchers in the geography field. The list is limited to books and serials. Contents of the volume have been arranged into four principal sections: (1) general works and aids, (2) geographical methods, (3) thematic geography, and (4) regional geography. Within each major section, specific topics are further categorized. Listings are alphabetical by author within the individual categories, including publishers, date, page numbers, price and the library of Congress numbers. (Author/JR)
