The region covered a complex variety of library jurisdictions, from county libraries to numerous city, town, village, township, and Indian libraries. The study encompassed current status and recommendations for the future in the areas of regional reference services, shared resources and interlibrary loan, film service, communication methods, funding, centralized cataloging, regional headquarters, the regional librarians' committee, disposition of existing small libraries, quantitative standards, and the role of the existing county libraries. There are several tables with information on reference materials and services, the regional film service, and statistical data for small libraries. (LS) |
