Six basic goals were decided upon for formulating behavioral objectives for grades 7-12: (1) awareness of self and one's place in society, (2) awareness of alternatives in life, (3) development of positive attitudes toward work, (4) knowledge of and experience in work settings and occupations, (5) development of skills for careers, and (6) reformulation of a tentative career choice. For each of the goals, sections are provided stating the performance objectives and are further broken down into behavioral objectives, methods and materials, evaluations, a list of methods and materials, and a list of evaluation procedures to be used. Following each goal, suggested teaching procedures, sample evaluations, and methods and materials are provided. The document concludes with a list of a Mason City senior high school's library resource materials on career education. (BP)
