Following brief sample lists of basic reference collections for primary, intermediate, and junior high school libraries are annotated bibliographies of encyclopedias, dictionaires, factbooks and yearbooks, indexes, atlases, biographical reference books, and bibliographies. In addition to the humanities, science, and social science subject areas, there are lists of reference books on ethnic groups in America as well as recreation and hobbies. Review sources and a directory of publishers is provided, along with author-title and subject indexes. (LS)
