The facilities to be considered are: electrical services; electronic services; light control and ventilation; and sound insulation, acoustic properties and treatment of spaces. General learning areas will vary in design specifications according to the number of students they are to serve: individual learners, small groups of less than 12 students, large groups, and very large groups of more than 40. Additional requirements must be considered for special areas: music, art, drama, business and vocational classrooms; science and language laboratories; and the library and media production center. In the appendix of this booklet, diagrams and floorplans are used to chart reception and antenna patterns for various broadcast equipment. (Author/SL) |
